Care for Jules, 76: help cover a carer and medication in Marseille
Jules, 76, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $5,700 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 76. After a diagnosis of dementia Jules can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Jules desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Jules worked all of his life as a schoolteacher, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $5,700 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $4,600
• Medication and prescriptions: $550
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $250
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $300
