Care for Gustavo, 87: help cover a carer and medication in Curitiba
Gustavo, 87, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,050 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 87. After a diagnosis of dementia Gustavo can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Gustavo desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Gustavo worked all of his life as a carpenter, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $590
• Medication and prescriptions: $270
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $115
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $75
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Stay strong. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Marseille!
Thanks for sharing this, Cláudia. Wishing Gustavo a smooth procedure and a full recovery. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. God bless
Stay strong, Cláudia. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. It's not much but it's yours
