Care for Gonzalo, 79: help cover a carer and medication in Spokane
Gonzalo, 79, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $4,000 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 79. After a fall and hip fracture Gonzalo can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Gonzalo desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Gonzalo worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $4,000 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $2,600
• Medication and prescriptions: $590
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $260
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $550
