Care for Elias, 77: help cover a carer and medication in Dortmund
Elias, 77, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $5,100 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 77. After a stroke last March Elias can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Elias desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Elias worked all of his life as a bus driver, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $5,100 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $3,850
• Medication and prescriptions: $510
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $460
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $280

Sure. The biggest one is part-time carer (six months), $3,850. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Happy to explain more.
