Dominik, 78, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $3,900 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 78. After a heart attack Dominik can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Dominik desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Dominik worked all of his life as a schoolteacher, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.

• Part-time carer (four months): $3,050

• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $185
