I'm caring for my father, who's 83. After a diagnosis of dementia Byaruhanga can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Byaruhanga desperately wants to stay at home. I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Byaruhanga worked all of his life as a bus driver, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $300 goes: • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $65 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $25 • Part-time carer (four months): $210 Thank you so much.
