Brett wants to stay at home - help fund eight months of care
Brett, 75, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,500 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 75. After a heart attack Brett can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Brett desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Brett worked all of his life as a bus driver, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $1,150
• Medication and prescriptions: $200
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $95
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $55
