In August I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. My oncology team at Phuket Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in October. I was told to expect about 8 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 27, I worked as a bank teller until August, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Phuket Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $95
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,950
• Household costs while unable to work: $305

Sure. The biggest one is nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team, $95. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks for asking.
