A youth football pitch for the Unity vacant lot: help our neighbors in Cali

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a youth football pitch - we need $900 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $350, and the remaining cost is $900. It will serve about 216 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
