A skate park for the Pioneer vacant lot: help our neighbors in Dublin
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $1,150 for materials.
🇮🇪 Dublin, Leinster, Ireland670 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,150.
It will serve about 369 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Materials: $790
• Tools hire and delivery: $160
• Permits and inspections: $200
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Wishing you the best, Bridget. Gave what I could, wish it was more. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings.
Sending love, Bridget. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My husband and I read this together. Blessings
