A skate park for the Liberty vacant lot: help our neighbors in Bengaluru
A community-led a skate park at the Liberty vacant lot that will serve 270 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $650.
It will serve about 270 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $650 goes:
• Materials: $530
• Permits and inspections: $55
• Safety equipment and signage: $50
• Tools hire and delivery: $15
