A rainwater harvesting system for Union Park: help our neighbors in Bahir Dar

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Park, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $555. It will serve about 486 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $555 goes: • Materials: $470 • Permits and inspections: $40 • Safety equipment and signage: $40 • Tools hire and delivery: $5 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Yared
