We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a rainwater harvesting system - we need $100 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $105, and the remaining cost is $100. It will serve about 119 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $100 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $25 • Tools hire and delivery: $30 • Permits and inspections: $45 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
