For five years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $650. It will serve about 297 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $650 goes: • Materials: $550 • Safety equipment and signage: $50 • Tools hire and delivery: $50 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Hazel
