A rainwater harvesting system: a volunteer-led effort in Nakhon Ratchasima

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Freedom bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $280, and the remaining cost is $600. It will serve about 302 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $600 goes: • Materials: $490 • Permits and inspections: $45 • Tools hire and delivery: $65 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly. - Busaba
