A rainwater harvesting system: a volunteer-led effort in Belém
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a rainwater harvesting system - we need $850 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $850.
It will serve about 246 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $850 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $50
• Materials: $670
• Safety equipment and signage: $130
