A playground for the old Liberty bus depot: help our neighbors in Pasig
A community-led a playground at the old Liberty bus depot that will serve 310 neighbors.
🇵🇭 Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines198 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Liberty bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $120, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 310 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $300 goes:
• Materials: $200
• Permits and inspections: $45
• Safety equipment and signage: $35
• Tools hire and delivery: $20

Take care, Elena. Shared it with a few friends. All the best
Take care, Elena. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Coventry.
Take care, Elena. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out.
keep going. Looking forward to the next update. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. God bless.
Good luck, Elena. Hope you get there. Wish I lived closer to San Antonio so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Kikuyu
