A playground for the Freedom health centre yard: help our neighbors in Kharkiv
Volunteers in Kharkiv are raising $550 for a playground at the Freedom health centre yard.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $270, and the remaining cost is $550.
It will serve about 348 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $550 goes:
• Materials: $450
• Permits and inspections: $30
• Safety equipment and signage: $35
• Tools hire and delivery: $35
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

is there anything that isn't money that would help Galina?
Thank you. If you're in Kharkiv I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Good question.
Wishing you the best, Galina. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
