A playground for Cedar Park: help our neighbors in Salvador

Volunteers in Salvador are raising $850 for a playground at Cedar Park.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Park, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $850. It will serve about 585 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
