A covered market stall space: a volunteer-led effort in Kazan
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a covered market stall space - we need $1,000 for materials.
Anywhere in the world272 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Acacia health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,000.
It will serve about 453 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Materials: $710
• Permits and inspections: $95
• Safety equipment and signage: $120
• Tools hire and delivery: $75
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Thanks for sharing this, Maria. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Sent it to 19 people at work. All the best.
you're not alone, Maria. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I have a 9 year old who wants to send good wishes too
Looking forward to the next update. Love from Nottingham.
keep going, Maria. Hope this works out for you. My neighbor in Salem donated after I showed her your page. God bless.

Thanks for sharing this. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings.
hope things get better soon. Your post was clear and honest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings.
praying for you, Maria. I hope things turn around soon. It's not much but it's yours. Take care.
