A covered market stall space: a volunteer-led effort in Gwagwalada
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a covered market stall space - we need $650 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $650.
It will serve about 507 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $650 goes:
• Materials: $460
• Permits and inspections: $55
• Safety equipment and signage: $35
• Tools hire and delivery: $100
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Hope things get better soon. I hope things turn around soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
