A community fridge for the Lotus health centre yard: help our neighbors in Guarulhos
A community-led a community fridge at the Lotus health centre yard that will serve 325 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $800.
It will serve about 325 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.

• Permits and inspections: $35
