Weekly meals for families and seniors in Mandurah
Walter runs a volunteer pantry feeding 209 families; this fund restocks shelves for the school holidays.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Tuesday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 13 families, and now we feed 209 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 37% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Mandurah market and keep every receipt.
Each $45 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $630
• Baby formula and diapers: $540
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,180
