Gatineau
I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a master's in public health at the Gatineau Institute of Technology, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a warehouse packer to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $3,100. The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a distinction average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility. I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student. The payment will go directly to the the Gatineau Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $3,100 goes: • Exam and lab fees: $90 • Textbooks and materials: $90 • Final term tuition: $2,920 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Your post was clear and honest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Mbale.
