Narayanganj
Rahim is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a diploma in hospitality management at Narayanganj University, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $550. The registrar has said Rahim can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Rahim has a distinction average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Rahim would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Rahim isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $550 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $280 • Final term tuition: $240 • Exam and lab fees: $20 • Textbooks and materials: $10 Thanks for being kind about this.
