Tuition fund for Lorena: a nursing degree at Los Angeles Community College
A first-generation student, Lorena needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a nursing degree.

Lorena is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a nursing degree at Los Angeles Community College, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,000.
The registrar has said Lorena can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Lorena has a top-ten-percent average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Lorena would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Lorena isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Los Angeles Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
