Khang is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an agriculture degree at Da Nang Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $250.
The registrar has said Khang can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Khang has a 3.9 average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Khang would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Khang isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Da Nang Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $250 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $35
• Outstanding tuition balance: $195
• Textbooks and materials: $20
