Shubra
Khadija is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in social work at Shubra Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $400. The registrar has said Khadija can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Khadija has a 3.6 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Khadija would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Khadija isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Shubra Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $400 goes: • Textbooks and materials: $40 • Exam and lab fees: $45 • Final term tuition: $315 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
