Tuition fund for Juma: a pharmacy diploma at the Kasarani Institute of Technology
A first-generation student, Juma needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a pharmacy diploma.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a pharmacy diploma at the Kasarani Institute of Technology, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a barista to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $750.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.9 average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $750 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $70
• Final term tuition: $650
• Exam and lab fees: $30

Hope things get better soon, Juma. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Bergamo but we're thinking of you. God bless.
reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Kasarani
