Amelia is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a master's in public health at Orlando Community College, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,650. The registrar has said Amelia can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Amelia has a top-ten-percent average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Amelia would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Amelia isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Orlando Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $4,650 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $980 • Final term tuition: $3,300 • Exam and lab fees: $250 • Textbooks and materials: $120 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Maria
