Ali is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in social work at the Cairo Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $255.
The registrar has said Ali can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Ali has a first-class average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Ali would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Ali isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the the Cairo Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $255 goes:
• Final term tuition: $190
• Textbooks and materials: $60
• Exam and lab fees: $5
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

You're not alone, Sami. This could happen to any of us. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out.
