The Pioneer vacant lot needs a covered market stall space - Bogdana's neighborhood project

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $260, and the remaining cost is $550. It will serve about 306 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $550 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $75 • Materials: $450 • Permits and inspections: $25 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Bogdana
