The old Lotus bus depot needs a playground - Derek's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $3,300 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Lotus bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $460, and the remaining cost is $3,300.
It will serve about 207 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Safety equipment and signage: $530
• Materials: $2,210
