The old Liberty bus depot needs a community garden - Ximena's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $2,250 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Liberty bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,250.
It will serve about 438 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• Materials: $1,500
• Permits and inspections: $160
• Safety equipment and signage: $420
• Tools hire and delivery: $170
