For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,450. It will serve about 585 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $3,450 goes: • Materials: $2,600 • Permits and inspections: $240 • Safety equipment and signage: $410 • Tools hire and delivery: $200 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly. - Hadley
