The Liberty vacant lot needs a solar-powered water pump - Margaux's neighborhood project
A community-led a solar-powered water pump at the Liberty vacant lot that will serve 365 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,550.
It will serve about 365 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,550 goes:
• Materials: $1,950
• Permits and inspections: $220
• Safety equipment and signage: $105
• Tools hire and delivery: $275
