A community-led a youth football pitch at the Jacaranda community hall that will serve 488 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $250.
It will serve about 488 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $250 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $90
• Safety equipment and signage: $110
• Tools hire and delivery: $50
