The Cedar health centre yard needs a community garden - Kipchoge's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Nairobi are raising $650 for a community garden at the Cedar health centre yard.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $650.
It will serve about 473 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Tools hire and delivery: $100
