The Acacia vacant lot needs a youth football pitch - Gita's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Jakarta Barat are raising $500 for a youth football pitch at the Acacia vacant lot.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Acacia vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 333 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $500 goes:
• Materials: $440
• Safety equipment and signage: $25
• Tools hire and delivery: $35
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
