Tahmina was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in February. The surgeon at Vadodara University Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and She is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,350, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $800 short.
my wife has been in and out of Vadodara University Hospital since February. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,350 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Tahmina struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Tahmina won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
