Marisa was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in August. The surgeon at Turin Community Hospital recommended valve repair surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $7,000, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $5,500 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Turin Community Hospital since August. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $7,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Marisa struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Marisa won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
