Kimberly was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in August. The surgeon at Saint Anne Hospital recommended emergency hernia repair, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $10,250, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $5,150 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Saint Anne Hospital since August. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $10,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Kimberly struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Kimberly won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
