Stop the eviction: 5 months of rent for Enes's family in Kadıköy
A termination letter arrived last week. Enes needs $1,200 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Kadıköy.

When the restaurant closed in June, I fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Monday a termination letter was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $1,200.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by September, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working weekend shifts, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Rent arrears (5 months): $870
• Late fees and court costs: $55
• Utilities in arrears: $70
• First month of rent as a buffer: $205
Thank you for reading my story.

Quick update: $243 raised so far (20%). the plan for first month of rent as a buffer is now scheduled. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Thank you all. We're at 11% now ($135). I'm honestly stunned. the first invoice got paid this week.

So sorry you're going through this. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. I have a 7 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Blessings.
Sending love, Enes. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. God bless.
Wishing you peace, Enes. Shared this with my family. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best.
Thinking of you, Enes. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in San Diego this morning. Thinking of Kadıköy
Hope things get better soon. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Blessings.
