Stop the eviction: 5 months of rent for André's family in Feira de Santana
A notice to vacate arrived last week. André needs $1,000 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Feira de Santana.

When my hours were cut in half in July, I fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $1,000.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, we must leave.
I have a teenager still in school at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Rent arrears (5 months): $610
• Late fees and court costs: $95
• Utilities in arrears: $75
• First month of rent as a buffer: $220
Thank you so much.

Hope it all works out. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Blessings
Keep going, André. Shared it with a few friends. I'll check back for the next update. Greetings from Newcastle upon Tyne.
Hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Rohini this morning.
