Stop the eviction: 4 months of rent for Rolando's family in Quezon City
A termination letter arrived last week. Rolando needs $700 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Quezon City.

Following a long illness in the family, I fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Monday a termination letter was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $700.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by July, we must leave.
I have three school-aged children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working evenings as a cleaner, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $700 goes:
• Rent arrears (4 months): $460
• Late fees and court costs: $25
• Utilities in arrears: $25
• First month of rent as a buffer: $190
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
- due date
- 2026-09-01
- bill type
- Rent arrears

Stay strong, Rolando. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. All the best.
Keep going. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 9 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
take care. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I hope July is when things finally get easier. Greetings from Tallahassee!
