Start-up fund for Franco: reopening a street-food cart after a fire in the building
Franco has run a street-food cart for three years; a fire in the building destroyed the equipment, and $3,400 will put it back on its feet.

For three years I have run a street-food cart in Brescia. In February, a fire in the building took a gas stove and two refrigerators. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $3,400 goes:
• Replacing a gas stove and two refrigerators: $2,400
• Initial stock: ingredients: $650
• Shop repairs and licensing: $165
• Working capital for the first month: $185
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

You're not alone, Franco. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
praying for you. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Put this on a community board in Abuja this morning. Love from Abuja.
