Teresa was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in October. The oncology team at Ottawa Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in January. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Teresa is 38, worked as a construction supervisor until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Ottawa Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
