In February I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. My oncology team at the Coventry Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in April. I was told to expect about 3 weeks away from work. I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 35, I worked as a primary school teacher until February, and I have been the main earner for my household. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to the Coventry Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly. My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $9,600 goes: • Scans and lab work: $620 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,500 • Household costs while unable to work: $800 • Transport to the Coventry Oncology Institute: $680 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Updates from Stephanie

  1. Quick update: $4,898 raised so far (51%). the plan for household costs while unable to work is now scheduled. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 26% funded and I met with the treatment center and confirmed the amounts.

  3. Update from Coventry: we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. We're at 17% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
