Standing with María: stage 2 breast cancer treatment costs
10 rounds of treatment are planned at the Mendoza Oncology Institute; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

María was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in July. The oncology team at the Mendoza Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Marían is 43, worked as a shop owner until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Mendoza Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $210
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,000
• Transport to the Mendoza Oncology Institute: $110
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $130

Sure. The biggest one is scans and lab work, $210. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks for looking so closely.
