Standing with Lina: stomach cancer treatment costs
Supporting Lina through stomach cancer: medication, transport to Essen Regional Medical Center, and living costs while She can't work.

Lina was diagnosed with stomach cancer in May. The oncology team at Essen Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Lina is 34, worked as a bus conductor until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Essen Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $8,600 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,000
• Scans and lab work: $570
• Transport to Essen Regional Medical Center: $670
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $450
• Household costs while unable to work: $910
